The showing in Doylestown, PA at the County Theatre ran flawlessly, I am told. I hear everyone was quite impressed. I've put a 2K behind a Beaulieu 708EL Super 8 projector before. The film was ran off of a homemade transport system through a modified 70mm Kelmar cleaner. The transport was mandatory a the film had to be outputted in front of the projector instead of wrapping it around the back, thus interfering with the lamp source.  |  IP: Logged Ken Layton Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1452 From: Olympia, Wash. USA Registered: Sep 1999 posted 05-13-2000 07:50 PM                     So if there is no regular (mono) track on DTS 16mm, then does that mean dual inventory prints for those installations not equipped for DTS 16? Regular DTS 35mm time code readers use an led, but if you read time code with the typical 16mm exciter lamp, won't there be any problems? I'd like to see them put the time code track on the outside edge of the sprocket holes like a 16mm magnetic balance stripe. That way a conventional mono (or SVA) track would still be available for backup/default or for use on standard 16mm projectors. It would be nice if we could have a reverse scan stereo soundhead conversion kit, too for Bell and Howells.  |  IP: Logged Tyler Skinner Expert Film Handler Posts: 115 From: Pa Registered: Nov 1999 posted 05-14-2000 12:45 AM                     Steve, I heard Wired Angel was quite interesting, although from what I hear most people here (especially the critics over at the movie reviews board) would hate it, too original and experimental. Unfortunately, I had to work thursday so I didn't get a chance to see it. 16mm dts... I shall have to look into that. Is The County keeping the DTS head on their 16mm projector, or was it just for this showing?  |  IP: Logged
