To add to Mikes comments...it has also been mentioned that the delivery cost of electronic imaging to the theatre will be approx. the cost of two admission tickets PER SHOW...now take the average theatre with three showings a night and average ticket price of $4 the daily cost is $24.00 times
365 is a total of $8,760.00 SHIPPING (delivery) COST!(per screen!) My theatre averaged a cost for TWO screens shipping the old fashioned way cost about $3,500.00 per year (Before technicolor!) Now its about $1,800.00 per year! At the premise that the distributors will not LOWER film rental costs...Why should I pay over 8 times what I am now paying for shipping? In fact, I cant afford to!
