Jason,

You have to understand that the managers at my theater (aside from the booth managers which are very cool and considerate,) really don't give a crap about us not sending the discs back or not. They have to worry about the ushers that don't know how to clean a theater properly.

BTW, I do return those discs now!!! I want to stress that point! I return the discs!!!

My manager told me that each disc NOT returned cost the theatre $15 each.

AFAIK thats not true. If it were we would get nailed bigtime (I always send the discs back but some jack@sses forget).

No, that's not true. That's just another one of those threats in an attempt to inflict fear on projectionists. Kinda like how a 6 reel print costs $3500!

A single 6 reel print and all of the setup costs to run JUST THAT ONE print is roughly $1200. Obviously when hundreds or thousands are printed at the same time, the cost is substantially less.

Here is an interesting question for you,

I use to work at skinemark im sorry i meant cinemark tinseltown 20

we had recently got some new drives in for our dts and on a couple of instances for some strange reason, it would play the wrong soundtrack for the trailer on screen.
For example we were once showing a kids movie with a kids trailer but,... it was playing the soundtrack for some evil movie. this scared the kids of course. kinda funny. could not figure it out. oh well just something funny i thought i should share.
