Never got to see a Jet Arc, but always wanted to. And I would give my eye-teeth to see a Hy-Candescent! They are used form time to time on very large projection jobs. Man you should hear em blow! They sounded like a stirred up nest of wasps and we had a little furnace for welding to special 11mm carbons togather to last a 2omin reel They were replaced witha prototype of the Zies Xenosol 6K with the air balster. I have a picture of a guy in a d/i booth, threading a 70mm print into a machine with one of these big lamps behind it. He's very small by comparison.
