In the Dolby digital manual, it says that the bulbs are rated for 8000 hours. But I had almost the exact same problem (6-F-6-F) in a DA20/ CAT700 and changed the bulb (with less hours.) The error rate went to a steady (3-3dot-3-3dot.)
