Author Topic: the best Movie Tunes CD ever Evans A Criswell Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1579 From: Huntsville, AL, USA Registered: Mar 2000 posted 09-22-2000 09:00 AM                        Actually, I don't mind the music playing from the movie tunes disc before a movie. I have heard some songs that I've really liked before a movie. I tend to get to auditoriums early (often 20 minutes or more early) so it is nice to have some sort of auditory stimulation. The neat thing is you never know what you're going to hear unless you visit the theatre too often. They'll be playing new stuff, and out of the blue, a classic 60s song that I love. If they'd get rid of the announcer, the thing would be improved. Of course, I'm different than most people in my music tastes. I like a much wider variety of music than most people. In fact, I have approximately one third of the songs that hit the Billboard top 100 chart from 1955 to 1990. I'm not kidding. I'm not hard to please when it comes to music. Does the announcer ever talk over the song intros/exits on the movie tunes disc? The announcer always talks over the music, at the beginning and the end. Instrumental music is also good because it is in the middel-of-the-road which regardless what song it is will appeal to all ages. Just don't play Opera or Heavy-metal.  |  IP: Logged
