Author Topic: Need advice on a Strong Endless loop Brad Miller Administrator Posts: 17775 From: Plano, TX (36.2 miles NW of Rockwall) Registered: May 99 posted 07-28-2000 04:26 AM                     I've never had the chance to play with an endless loop platter, but I'm told FilmGuard works best on them when ran once a week and then the cleaner is completely removed for 7 days. Registered: Dec 1999 posted 07-28-2000 07:25 AM                     Back in 1986/87, the Original Crocodile Dundee was running here in Sydney at the Hoyts Centre. It had been running for about 8 months to packed houses and the print was still in excellent shape running 5 times a day, 7 days by union projectionists. Well, in the infinite wisdom of Hoyts and a look at what was to come, they installed an endless loop system... it trashed 3 prints in one week... I guess they needed a projectionist after all... You can imagine the bean-counters looks when they imagined losing operators all together and saving ALL that money but ended up forking out dough for three new prints instead.  |  IP: Logged
