When you're not using a digital penthouse of some kind the limits are larger. When you are, the loop has to be dead-on. My treading technique developed out of the necessity to make the loops the same size every time. Forget the rest of the projector. Loops are always dead on perfect and it's been at least 10 years since I've had an out of frame start.  |  IP: Logged John T. Mellor Film Handler Posts: 52 From: Htafield, Pennsylvania, USA Registered: May 2000 posted 08-12-2000 12:46 PM                     The swing down gate works OK but remember that in some instances you have to shim out the film runner on the gate to get the proper tension on the runner and shoe.The Milenium projector is actualy a collage of thr old Century gate into the Simplex projector I like it because I can adjust the gate pressure and the shoe pressur independently On the Milenium make sure that the screw that holds the shoe is tight and the bracket and stud are square with the bottom of the arm I've replaced a lot of sprockets latly because they were missing or loose  |  IP: Logged
