DTS just sticks a data file on the first disk for each feature which specifies what the frames will be at credits start & end of credits. If they do, all the projectionist has to do when the print arrives is to combine that document with the document describing the auditorium. So yes; the first DTS disc could easily contain that document; its size would be around 5k or less so space shouldn't be a problem. I realise that the film companies are rather slow in accepting new technologies so those documents can also be written by the projectionist (in combination with the existing automation providing the cues). One of the big advantages with XML is that the document is a text file. No obscure or proprietary file system would have to be introduced to add further confusion (or proprietary tools!) to the situation.  |  IP: Logged
