The site where the Thoroughbred 20 now sits was originally owned by Consolidated Theatres, and was their site to re-enter into the Nashville market after they had sold to Carmike back in the late '80's. Carmike wound up acquiring this site and from what I know, was not a pleasant acquisition. It was zoned for a large theatre complex, so they had to build. So yeah, they put their own 10-screener out of business, but it paid off.... T20 is probably Carmike's biggest money maker.
