There is a front reflector and a back reflector or a deep bowl reflector and a 45 degree reflector. When the front reflector images the plasma spot back onto the plasma spot, there seems to me to be a lot more visible gas movement that makes it to the screen, which can be very distracting to the audience.  |  IP: Logged Gordon McLeod Film God Posts: 9532 From: Toronto Ontario Canada Registered: Jun 99 posted 04-12-2001 09:42 AM                     Also remember that the front mirror is spherical and as such focus the forward radiation back into the lamp and it is very easy to burn the electrode or the actual quartz wall off with a big bang by mis- aligning it in matter of seconds. Typically vertical lamphouses have lower light out put but properly set up exceptional flatness of field  |  IP: Logged
