Ok I have been gone for a few days. Family emergency called me away so all I have to say is GOOD GREIF!!!I take pride in giving the customers the best value for thier dollar with what I have. And so you all get it, this place is a DISCOUNT HOUSE. All second run films for a dollar a piece. SO MONEY IS A MAJOR ISSUE!!! I have been given the opportunity to rape our storage and supplies but new purchases are just not easy to make. We are a very busy theater clearing over 12k in sales per week on six screens after just five months of operation, and increasing about 2 percent each week. SO we will make it, but not if I think I can go out and spend thousands of dollars right now. I love this business, but I can do without the pain. Somebody get me an aspirin cuz my hed hurtz. Dave PS, i agree mark, i could probably even build my own damn boards and cards too besides the cables!

Oh, sorry guys - The DTS-AD unit I pulled has a problem in the left channel. An RA has already been issued by DTS for its return. The left channel has a buzzing output which is generated within the DTS itself. It is not a 60hz hum, or a ground loop hum. It sounds like hash noise generated from a flourescent light. But it had a "pattern" that sounded like a 30hz repetition rate. I never actually looked at the signal with an oscilloscope.
We had this problem before with several others, and were repaired under warrenty. Someone told me audio board needed upgrading. Since the theater is almost 400 miles from me, and I don't have the facilities or the knowledge to actually work on them, it is easier for me just to send them in for repair.
