Is it a Qubit, a D-5 tape machine, or something else? The only DLP setup that I'm reasonably familiar with is connected to the same automation as the film projector. The operator just sets the timer (same as for film) and everything runs automatically (including lights, etc.), just like film but without needing to be re-threaded. I thought that the idea of using the film automation was quite clever...  |  IP: Logged Ben Stephenson Film Handler Posts: 29 From: Manchester, England Registered: Jan 2001 posted 01-25-2002 07:16 PM                    The sound track is installed with the film and runs from the hard drive, it is a 6 chanle sorce and I could not tell the diffrence (compered to SRD) Our DLP is linked in to the automation so when the trilers and adverts have run through on 35mm the projector shuts down and the DLP clicks in gust like a change over and then you can tell the diffrence in quality.  |  IP: Logged
