Usually on the deluxe logo on the head leader it will say deluxe toronto or deluxe canada

The leaders are the dead giveaway. The Hollywood prints have the ColoReel® reel ID's in plain color with plain old boring 'block' lettering (and with the 'slashes' thru the letters at the tail) and the Toronto prints will have the ColoReel ID with the title printed in some cool 'font of the day'. They usually say 'Print Made In Canada' below the title as well. (and no slashes on the tail)

Look in the Reviews section for 'DeLuxe Hollywood Labs for pics of examples of both leaders.

I find myself wondering if they're not defects, but if they're possibly supposed to be that ugly (?). Strange that they're on two different reels though. I shall followup and see what I find out.

We had these hopefully faulty CAP codes on both of our prints of High Crimes (one of which has since left us). I certainly do hope this is not what a new CAP code is supposed to look like, if so, I don't know if I will be able to take it. BTW, they were only on one reel (second) on both prints.

I also had them on my reel 2 of High Crimes. At least 4 times about 4 minutes apart each time.

As I said: "I suspect the CAP Code Printer accidently got knocked out of focus, or a different version of CAP code is being developed."

Since these dots are evidently being printed on a variety of features, they are likely a new or supplemental version of CAP Code. The original version of CAP Code that I helped Kodak develop in 1982 had very tiny dots. Helped convict lots of film pirates without many people noticing they were even there.

Seems like a sure-fire way to get people to "wait for the DVD" is to start delivering prints to theatres with what appear to be glaring, deliberate defects.
