Paul,
The "field fix" for flutter problems in a Christie usually involves replacing pulleys, and/or bearings, and usually belts. The problem is that the belts wear down the pulleys to the point where the belts no longer mesh properly with the pulley or to the point where there is a groove in each tooth of the pulleys that in turn ruins the belt.
One of my theaters that is equipped with P35C Christies has to change at least one pulley at least once every six months on each projector to keep up with the wear. (The head operator at that theater is also a highly skilled machinist, and so is VERY picky about having his machines running perfectly. He has been known to make parts for the projector himself. He also experiments with various lube products for his bearings. I think his latest venture is a 90w50 oil in the bearings)

After Miles McCrea and I "Belted" one of my Christies, it runs much better. The jitter rate is now in acceptable limits, But the shutter pully is shot.

I am a little disappointed to hear that the shutter pullys don't last very long.

Brad, talked to Sal @ Christie today and said that the glass blades failed beta testing and offered no further information.
