Luckily the hotspot should be in the centre where the image not the black framing is

As for masking the norm in most multiplexs with stadium seating is fixed side masking top movable

Don't know about company policy, but that's how our automation was set up. Show end = back to Flat. I think there's a thread about this somewhere on here.

Well, we got the print after it was lost in transit, BV sent us another -- it was full frame with the Irwin Kostal digitally re-recorded track. I was very supprised because I thought this verson was only for that specialty release in the mid-80s where they interlocked the new track to a PCM digital player. I saw done this way at the Ziegfeld in NYC. Evidently they also struck prints with Dolby analog tracks.

As much as the purists screamed foul about this version (removing the Taylor segments and adding a new voice-over as well as even overdubbing Stokowski's little exchange with Micky Mouse made them see red), I loved hearing a modern soundtrack -- after all, the music IS half the point in this film. The Dolby A sound was absolutely spectacular. The sound guy commented that he thought the sound was exceptional. Our park venue has a great system -- it is designed not only for film,but as a high-powered live concert system, so it never lacks for power and clarity.

Audience size for a film made in 1939 - 3750! Let's see them do THAT in a multiplex.
