My point is just that instead of looking at a heavy-duty curtain motor, re-roping & cabling the grand drape, lord knows what other hardware that's going to suddenly be obviously needed, possibly a rotting grand drape that begins to get flaky & ugly with you, etc.; you should instead be looking at curtain track, 2nd hand drapes, & a lighter duty motor.

In both cases, you'll still be having someone else pull the curtain until it's installed.

It's like being in a horror movie!

Write him, ask if anyone wants to come look at the organ in the porno house. Remind him that Dick Schrum started out playing the TO in a burlesque house if squeamishness develops.

The TO group can be sort of high-contrast, & sort of wide in psychology: from the techie-musical-train enthusiast-engineer types to people who are just crazy.
