If I set the minimum from the trimmer located on the payout unit on the arm and THEN I set the maximum on the control card, of course, the minimum change too.
The payout devices, my payout devices, are designed that minimum and maximum are NOT separately adjusted.
Just for example: if I set the minimum and then I trim the control card's trimmer at maximum, the platter starts rotating at stop position too so that the minimum has to be re-adjusted.

The temperature issue is a "normal" issue with CNR. The problem is that if I change the internal trimmer to have the maximum speed reduced (lower the "dead" zone of the payout arm) then the payout is way more sensible to temperature variations.

I'm trying to found a setting that make the correct maximum speed AND a acceptable variations with temperature.

Just try to check your minimum when your platter is turned on after a night and check again at the end of the evening.

I seem to be having a subborn issue with Cinemecanica 3-35n platter timing. having studdied the manual and this thread , my problem still exists.

its started with the takeup arm on the bottom late loosing tension and swithing off automation during show, I have readjusted the arm pot , still the arm dropps off no . when payout module is inserted on the same plate a wrap begins.

I have followed Tommie Evans instructions still wraps and tensions arm is dropping out. The only way I could solve this was to increase the plate speed to about 90 revolutions per minute, so far a print has not been thrown. So how do we slow do the plate speed and stop the take up arm dropping out and payout wraps. I am nervous at running the platter at this high speed.

Phil,

try to slow down the pay out speed with the trimmer (not the pot) in the "black box" on the pay out unit. You should be able to get a maximum speed of 40 rpm for pay out without changing the setting for take up (The trimmer on the control cards changes BOTH settings!). 90 rpm is waaaaay to fast as is 60 rpm!
