There's a screening room pool? Coulda fooled me! There may be screening prints (for example, Sony Classics prints with a letter designation) but those are just as likely to have been plattered as any others. I wish there were a changeover-only pool.

Thats just it Steve...if the ELR divided the houses into platter and changeover...the changeover houses would not have to worry about the abuses of the large reel and platter buildups and tear downs. How many shoepolished prints have you seen that still have the leaders and tails attached without splices? Now all is not perfect there...I did receive a print that was run only once and it was wasted at a home screening room that not only scratched the film on every other reel but oiled the living crap out of the print. I had to call for a replacement print of a film that had been run once! And the room that damaged it was a higher-up person for the studio. A very uncomfortable position to be in, indeed!
