Author Topic: Dolby Train Trailers Bobby Henderson "Ask me about Trajan." Posts: 10973 From: Lawton, OK, USA Registered: Apr 2001 posted 12-05-2002 05:23 PM                     Out of the newer trailers, "Egypt" is pretty good --at least near the end where the bass ramps up. "Canyon" doesn't look quite as good as "Egypt" but I think it sports a more demanding audio track. I don't care very much for the "Aurora" or "Rain" trailers. With that being said, I could live with "Train" and "City" and just be done with it.  |  IP: Logged Daryl C. W. To me Egypt sounds dumb and it is also flat. Apparently I've never heard the very original "Train", only the later long version that starts out with an eerie whistle-like sound which wraps around the surrounds (I indeed took every opportunity to run it at Waikiki #2, Claude). Very goosebump-raising and surreal, as Joe mentioned. "City" is exciting and classic but only appropriate for action flicks. I like "Aurora" because it sounds sophisticated with its chord progressions. I don't think a sound tag has to blow your eardrums to prove that the sound is excellent.  |  IP: Logged
