Northeastern University - Blackman Auditorium - Boston, MA.
Century SA, Christie SLC lamphouse with 4kw bulb, AW3R, CP65 (running mono only), nice Schneider lenses for all formats (1.33, 1.66, 1.85, scope). Very nice installation done in 1995 that gets very little use at this time. This place has the brightest picture I've ever seen.
I don't understand why they put in a platter, though, since they will never show anything more than once; also, the booth is very cramped and a second machine would have taken up less space. Considering the quality of the rest of the equipment, cost clearly wasn't the issue.
Unrelated question: When did Century decide that the shutter timing adjustment wasn't really needed? Why? Is it still available as an extra-cost option?
