Larry Smith in Dayton was meticulous in installing the correct strip screen for the Cinerama presentations there. How much cross light interference could be expected by using a solid sheet? Has the Dome ever run a three strip Cinerama before? If I can't see it presented the way it was supposed to be, on the correct type of screen with the correct curve I wouldn't want to see it. Perhaps in Seattle sometime. Saddly, the Dome installation isn't even close to being the real thing. Yes. This is Cinerama was run last fall Those in attendance (through many postings on RAMT) thought it looked quite good, with minimal cross-reflections (although I question this. I had just seen LOA there the week before, and it was prevalent). Im STILL seeing it on the 13th though. It should be pointed out that Crest labs timed new prints and checked them on their new Cinerama set-up, and yet they used painted plasterboard for their curved screen (or some similiar solid sheet material).  |  IP: Logged
