I believe Ben is already living his fantasy as he has a DP70 which he obtained from a certain Mr Peter Hall.

Actually the 7000 is a better machine than the devry and also the subject of the greatest number of patents issued for a projector design

Gord, The few 7000's that Clayton worked with in the States certainly never gained any "good" reputation. I remember him saying he was glad to send em back where they came from.

The 7000 aint all bad IMHO. I find that few of those who basj it the most here have ever even seen one, far less used one.

I asked Clayton today again about the prototype 7000's that were sent over to the states regarding the problems they had with it and all he said was they sent that pair back to the factory with a long list of to do's attached to it. For those that don't know...Clayton was the western US service technician for Westrex for many years. He's also my boss. No 7000's were ultimately ever sold here as far as he knows.

On the other hand I did a service call today on a pair of 5000's that are in Wendover, Utah....located not very far from the Enola Gay hanger. They are still chugging away pretty well, but both are in need of new intermittent drive gears which fortunately we had new in stock. So new gears and keys will be fitted to them on the next call out there. They should last a lot more years to come.

Current bid £820.00 [Confused] [Eek!] (reserve not yet met)

That's the most money Mr Spealburg has made for someone else.

not making a cent for himself.
