Jon Bartow Master Film Handler Posts: 287 From: Massachusetts Registered: Nov 1999 posted 10-23-2003 03:23 PM                     Actually Manny it is any Dolby Digital printed film that has been passed through Dolby's QC program (similar to DRAS but for the labs). They write on the film what the azimuth, lateral position and vertical jitter is for that particular piece of film. That way you can match your reader almost exactly to what Dolby's readers are. I didn't know that about the 530 film. Hmm... Maybe I should send them my favorite trailer. Just kidding. Seriously, though, I should probably align a reader using 530 + DRAS and then take note of the DRAS response when playing back my favorite test-loop trailer. That should work, right?  |  IP: Logged
