Author Topic: 8-perf splicing tape Max Biela Film Handler Posts: 89 From: Dortmund, Germany Registered: Sep 2003 posted 10-16-2003 12:25 PM                     Hi folks, I've got a CIR 8 perf splicer for my screening room, it is exactly the same as a normal "special edition", except the 8 perf puncher and blade. Even the quality is the same . If someone is interested, I can post a few pictures of it. We see alot of 8 perf splices here in Post-Production. The perforated tape it uses is pretty expensive per roll. I get the impression that the pre-perfed splicing tape (at least the stuff from Christy's Editorial Supply) is a bit thinner than the Neumade guillotine tape. The Rivas splices don't seem to make quite as much of a noise when they go through the gates. But I'd like to try one of the Tokyo Seiki 8-perf splicers. Will add one to my Yahoo Japan search string list...  |  IP: Logged
