MiT would like to thank all the participants who provided some great ideas and suggestions to the XLC console development. Look for units in the field in the next couple of months ... and make sure to visit our booth at ShoWest.



Steel uni-body construction, textured powder coat (blue-frame/grey-doors) finish - [the two-piece concept proved a bit too pricey to be practical. Decision was made to go with a more conventional design, as the console is smaller it will be easier to maneuver, and the power supply can easily be removed if desired. We will still offer the lamphouse-only as a separate option.] Narrow, 21in [533.4mm] width footprint [For going in next to digital systems or fitting better into cramped booth spaces.] Lamp is replaceable from either side of the console, with no tools required [Integral clamping levers.] All doors are reversible, allowing them to open front-to-back or back-to-front Dual hour meters, one for cumulative system hours and one re-settable meter for lamp hours [Lamp hour card still present in inside door pocket for tracking history.] Air intake from the rear of the console permits use of an air filter (if desired) and ducted intake lowers console noise level High-efficiency linear power supply using all 100A, positive SCRs on large aluminum heatsink banks and ripple reducing choke/filters on the DC output Hinged power supply access doors provides easy access to all internal components Solid-state interlock circuit Robust '5-speed' power tap switch design 6RU of rack space from the operator side or rear of the console Up to 21 breakers, (14 optional, UL 489 branch-rated breakers with master contactor switch) Concealed internal wiring, routing via ducts and channels to minimize cable exposure 14in [355.6mm] nickel reflector for all wattages, multi-layer dichroic coatings with optional secondary IR/UV filter Motorized lamp focus with defeat switch standard 13 degree downward tilt IREM A/C igniter with auto-strike circuit Anode cooling ducts for all wattages LED status indicators for independent monitoring of interlock points, system ready and three phase input phases Dedicated 115VAC output winding from the power supply transformer [No external transformer required for export usage.] Status outputs for future remote monitoring of the system (interlock, power, wattage, hours, etc) Four configurations, 2-3kW and 4-7kW for 230V or 415V, 50/60Hz Two 10A convenience outlets Separate ducting paths for signal, control and power wiring Internal work light Designed for HTP lamps (HS with optional rear adaptor) Continuous-rated douser with ceramic shield, configurable for left or right-side operation Mounting provisions for 4" locking casters (optional) Mounting provisions for secondary IR/UV filter(optional)
