It's been the case at AMC for quite some time that there isn't to be any rolling stock in front of Walt Disney Pictures films either animated or live action. This only applies to WDP, not Touchstone or any other BVD company. The exception would be any ad considered institutional, like Movie Tickets.com. However, the way AMC corporate sends this information to their theater managers and projectionists is extrordinarilly confusing, and often results in the wrong thing being done unless the digital projectors are used.
The NCN digital preshow system reads the show schedules from the theater's server and takes care of all the behind the scenes stuff for you. Not just the obvious Disney stuff, but also the differences in the ad lineup due to film ratings and all the other little quirks.
The looping ads (what used to be slides) do run before Disney films, as do the music video clips (which come directly before the actual pre-show ads), so I guess they aren't considered ads, even though they're "Brought To You By 1-800-CALL-ATT For Collect Calls." Hopefully Mr. Clip isn't trying Mickey's patience.
