Posts: 4143 From: Boston, MA Registered: Apr 2002 posted 01-02-2004 11:02 PM                        Here`s a really good one: I also had a problem with a speaker popping every 5-10 seconds or so, and I just couldn`t find the cause for this. Then in the end, I found that the plug-in crossover had been forced in the wrong way - even though the plastic central pin on the crossover is shaped so that there is only one right way to plug it in. But whoever "installed" that crossover simply broke off the pin and forced it in...Once properly plugged in, the popping disappeared.  |  IP: Logged Peter Schoell Film Handler Posts: 47 From: Paynesville, MN, USA Registered: Jul 2001 posted 01-02-2004 11:50 PM                     I had this problem too. For me it turned out to be the power to the Ultra Stereo LED was too high. I turned the pre amp levels (Smart ModIIb) all the way up the backed off about 1/2 stop. Next I turned down the power on the LED power supply until the pre amp level was in range, then finished adjusting with the pre amp trims. This is the procedure suggested by USL, and I usually set them up this way, but I must have screwed up this one.  |  IP: Logged Jean-Michel Grin Expert Film Handler Posts: 222 From: Geneva & Lausanne, Switzerland Registered: Jul 2002 posted 01-03-2004 04:08 AM                        Recently I experienced troubles of cracklin noises, buzzes, loss of sound from stage channels. I cleaned with a contact cleaner spray all the connections of the XLR connectors at the amplifiers inputs ant the crossovers. The problem was solved  |  IP: Logged
