Michael, I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately, "dumbing down" is the route our educational system has taken. By bringing the curriculum down to the lowest common-denominator, the kids in class who need extra help don't get their feelings hurt.

Instead of challenging students, teaching excellence and raising the bar for everyone, we're spiralling downward.
