Of course I ran nothing but first run reel-reel, so there was NEVER an excuse WHATSOEVER for getting reels out of order. That's why leaders are id'd in the first place. Or were you stoned? Well, I was MAJORLY sleep deprived, so I must have nodded off during the credits. That, or all the credits were at the beginning. I never actually thought of that until you mentioned it. I suppose the other possibility is that I fell asleep during reel 8, and didn't actually see reel 7 at all.
