Splices that is. Having recently completed a 2 week Film Festival, some of the horrendous splices made me want to cry. doing a combination of C/O and 6000' reels good spilicing is paramount. I prefer to butt join using guilotine cuts and double side tape. I hate those incompetants the just cut off a new frame instead of peeling tape, as well as those that cut the splice and tape the tails/heads back on without peeling the old splice. We had a print with 6 frames chopped and spliced and on. Took 10 mins to repair just that 1 reel  |  IP: Logged
