RKO used that format. check out www.widescreenmuseum.com for a good description for all of the anamorphic descriptions.. one can get lost in this site real well. I think I know the Oklahoma frame you're talking about. It was pre-curved to compense for keystoning. And, if I'm not mistaken, Cinerama on 70mm had a 1.2 or 1.5x horizontal squeeze. EDIT: quote: Monte Flat used to be called Regular, until the early 70's, when this new terminology of "Flat" was adopted.
