Thanks. Michael, the 650 hasn't been ending up on non-sync at the end of the night because it's on a Simplex X-L that operates with only rudimentary automation, and the processor is not triggered by it. We push buttons. The 500 is on a V-18, but its automation isn't used to change the processor from non-sync to digital. The presence of film sound initiates the change. This has worked dependably for us. But we're in the midst of changing the V-18 to a DP75, at the suggestion of Mark Gulbrandsen, and with its automation, we're going to refine the operation of the 500 a bit, such as fading out the non-sync before film sound starts, and fading non-sync back in at the end of the movie. When installation of the DP75 is finished, we're going to replace the X-L with another DP75, and refine the operation of the 650 at that time. The theatre is in a small town near Tulsa and is a 1920 "photoplay" and vaudeville house that had most of its balcony enclosed in 1974 to create a second auditorium. It still has its polychrome terra cotta lobby and triple-arch proscenium, and is getting a pipe organ back. It has its stagehouse, with both the original flying screen frame and merchants' curtain still hanging. Regards, John  |  IP: Logged Peter John Anthony.
