I rarely see anything better than 3 for Disney prints. The Trailers and adds played fine on 3-4 so was a print problem. Was sent back some time ago now and we've had no further problems in that screen. If the studios didn't want you to do it, they would sa so. Remember too...ALL film are supposed to be lubricated (Edgewaxed) and most are not so treated...or so Kodak claims. That's a common thought trail...until you start running with it. Then you'll wonder why on earth it took you so long. As far as the film companies not wanting it on their prints, that's rubbish. That's just a good excuse for the owners not to have to pay up and buy FilmGuard. Seriously, the print looks better, is dirt free, and runs better. It has no detrimental effects to the print whatsoever. There are prints 10 plus years old that had FG on them and they are still fine. Identical prints left untreated are in not such a great condition. Plus, that print is going to be around for what...three months tops when it then will have an axe put through it and destroyed.
