It seems pretty good, but nobody seems to know how to use it properly. I line up the stripes to mask the break in the soundtrack across the splice and minimize the amount of yellow striping on the image. Anyone else do it differently? I see a lot of people put the bar along the join of the splice which annoys me to no end, especially when they do it with the cheap "dashed line" stuff. The proper way is for one of the striped bars to be on one edge of the film and the other on the other edge. The bar should not be present in the splice. Why they even include a bar on the tape is beyond me, it just makes you waste a lot of it. There is no way to keep the stripes totally out of the image area AND the Dolby Digital area at the same time. I use clear tape for everything and there is no gap/break in the soundtrack area.
