Yes...definitely change the name of this thread. The current one is a "teaser" title.
*goes off to look for the Bee Gee's CD, maybe Olivia Newton-John. Not sure why I would be thinking of them all of the sudden...*

go'day mate

i bet kev won't use the other one "fair suck of the sav" generally used at the barbie.

i like the old 6 track mag 70mm on the vic8's
when i was in melbourne we used to call them chafcutter .

the first show i saw was the dirty dozen at the capital. the vic 8s were on the 5th floor and the screen was in the basement. one hell of a tilt.

i will be comming over there soon and hope to see "how the west was won in cinarama" if is still open

have fun everone and hope to see you all soon. [thumbsup]

Well, if it isn't still running when you are here you could hide behind the screen till after closing and go upstairs and run it for yourself!!

The Captitol Theatre in Melbourne is now in a sad state thanks to it's current owner RMIT. Too bad they turned the stalls area into a lame shopping arcade.
For the first time in over a decade it will not used as a venue for the Melbourne Film Festival.

At least the Capitol Theatre in NSW is in fine shape unlike it's sister here in Melbourne (The Forum) and it's one piece not split into 2.

Yeah, and it still has the teaser title! The mods must all be busy cranking out the next Studio Digital Movie Cinema Grill Steakhouse.

A teaser title is a title that doesn't clearly state what the subject of the thread is. Unfortunately, some here can't seem to figure out that your thread which is titled "Hello from Australia" isn't about a guy from Australia saying hello to the rest of us.

I, on the other hand knew exactly what this thread was about from its title, so as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with the title. (That's probably because I have an alien mind.) But I'm not a mod here. At worst this thread is in the wrong forum, or it's a duplicate of the "Who the HECK are you???" thread or the " Non-US members report here for a survey of all countries represented on film-tech" thread. Both of which are sticky threads in the Film-Yak forum.

By the way, hello back from Delaware, USA! And welcome to Film-Tech! [Smile]

Let the debate on Teaser Titles once again commence...

A teaser title is similar to a trailer title, however the teaser title usually appears some months beforehand and contains less content.
