Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 11-02-2009 01:54 PM                     The Mod really related to what was done in the 210A cabinet versus the 210. The 210 was designed long before there where T-S parameters to guide one in designing a bass-reflex cabinet. The cabinets were designed through trial and error to work with the drivers of the day. The Mods or 210A work best with the 515G series where an A4 will be rather flat down to 50Hz with 515-16GHP drivers or flat down to 40Hz with 515-16G drivers. The 828 series of cabinets are indeed tuned a bit different than the 825 (look nearly identical on the outside) and again, the 828 is expecting the 515G series drivers. There are published T-S parameters of most of the Altec drivers...they could guide one in getting the volume and porting right in the 825.
