Fire shitters are not required in any of the States I do work in. Montana does require shutdown of all air handling equipment including exhaust fans if the building is required to have a fire and smoke detection system. Fire sprinklers however are and are far more important and useful at stopping most fires. It is also possible to temper just about any glass made today.
