Tintin is practically unknown in the United States but a four-generation sensation in Europe. The rave reviews from around the world will hopefully help the film in the States, or something like that.

I came late to Tintin (late '60s) but my kids grew up with them and still treasure the originals that I got them in the '70s. Now their kids read the three-title hardback reprints I've been giving them.

It may be that not many Americans know and appreciate Tintin now, but that's about to change. The Great Carnac predicts a huge spike in Tintin interest this winter and record sales of the books. I for one, can't wait.
