Justin West Master Film Handler Posts: 271 From: Peoria, IL, USA Registered: Jul 2001 posted 03-05-2014 05:09 PM                     Back when the 3D 35mm deals were announced by Technicolor and Panavision (and, MasterImage, although I think they just offered a lens) I contacted Panavision and Technicolor. I asked if they would consider allowing a 1-year or less "test run" at my theatre, in case they had any extra 3D lenses laying around, rather than being required to commit to a 3-year arrangement. One of them never would return my calls. The other refused my offer, saying it was 3-years or nothing. Tech 3D was meant as a bridge to digital 3D. I am certain that they would never have agreed to early termination without going digital concurrently. louis  |  IP: Logged
