Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 04-28-2015 09:33 AM                     As I recall, all of our glasses were provided by the studios for the particular movie with the various logos right on them. They eventually had the "Clark Kent" style cardboards. Note, the installers were issued plastic frames with larger lenses. Now if you are doing revivals and such, yes, Deep 3D as well as Stereo Vision had all sorts of glasses for sale. But on 1st run, the studios supplied the glasses. It opened on 1,079 screens; 813 hardtops in polarized 3-D and 266 drive-ins played it flat. There were no anaglyphic prints. I know if I put on a pair of polaroid 3D glasses and looked through the windshield of my last car, different sections were blotted out depending on the position of my head. Probably why many 3D glasses come with warnings not to use them as sunglasses or while driving!
