Another cleaning thought---take the reel outside and blast it with an air hose like what we used to do with the metal air filters on our TMC and Continental 619 50Kw sideband transmitters.Greasy dirt-guess you have to take the dammed thing apart and wash the pieces-now we get reel pan hands!The plant doesn't use the sidebanders anymore--the TMC rigs got hauled off for scrap and the 619 just sits there waiting for a new balun-they are hard to obtain Continental and other suppliers don't make them anymore.The sideband transmission replaced by Satellite.
