Author Topic: Plasma Screen TVs -- Still not doing real HD William Leland III Master Film Handler Posts: 336 From: Charleston, SC, Registered: Aug 2002 posted 05-07-2004 04:49 PM                        my friend has 32" flat screen sanyo tv and uses his S-video hookups to play his playstation 2, the picture is amazing, bright, clear and the resolution is unbelievable. i have never seen a better looking screen. another friend of mine just bought a 65" big screen tv and he uses his playstation 2 S-video hookup's and his picture is not nearly as good as the flat screen. Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 05-07-2004 07:08 PM                     I dunno...I'm selling 1366 x 768 projectors now. Why get a 1.66:1 display instead of a 16:9? The nice thing about the 1366x768 units is that for VGA power point presentations, it is still pixel for pixel 1024 x 768. I have found that 1080 images do not scale well on internal projector scalers if the set is not a 1080 set...ie a 768 display will almost always look better with a 720 signal over a 1080 signal.
