Vegas has a great sound editor that will do 5.1.

in AE. With each press of the preview key in a session, the less time it gives. I eventually have to close and reopen the program to get the full time again. Clearing the buffers doesn't help, either. If anything, it brings it closer to running out of RAM and locking up!
