You can adjust it, of course, and I usually find that the "cinema" mode on a lot of these are far more realistic in tone. As for the aspect ratio stuff-- I still cannot believe how thick some people are about this, particularly with vintage titles. So you can really watch those 2.39:1 and 1.85:1 movies with no black bars of screen anywhere? Talk about confusing the already stupid public! If they thought letterboxing meant there was "something wrong with the TV," then this thing must have make people's heads explode. Don't you wish you could sit in on the network meetings where these young turks, who are probably too young to have ever seen THE SOUND OF MUSIC in a theatre, make these gawdawful decisions?
