Author Topic: Blue Ray Firmware Download Site Dead? Mike Heenan Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1896 From: Scottsdale, AZ, USA Registered: Mar 2000 posted 11-10-2008 04:33 PM                     I bought the new For Your Eyes Only Blu Ray, and tried it on my dad's player (sony 301 model). It loaded for like 5 min then did nothing. I then upgraded the firmware, and it took awhile but eventually got to the menu, and I pressed enter to start the movie, and it just froze. I gave the disc to my friend who has a PS3, and he said it worked with no hitches. It seems like this stuff is what takes an eternity. Just watch a Dolby Server system boot up sometime... There must be 30 other programs... all Linux based loading in to make the thing go...
