Jaret- I would give Speed another try. The sound mix of Speed is good, it also helps that it won the Oscar for sound that year.

My reference is to the PCM track, the above poster mention Dolby Digital which I have not heard.

I checked out NINE on blu-ray last night. It looked great. Some darker scenes really stood out as looking amazing. The musical numbers were mixed into the 5.1 soundtrack incredibly well too.

It's not everyones thing, but it was a great experience. I thought the movie was entertaining too.
