Posts: 12814 From: Annapolis, MD Registered: Dec 1999 posted 05-15-2005 09:17 PM                     Nope, I don't have theories but trust me, the next time you look at a DLP show...you will see it now that you know about it (kinda like cue marks). Especially if they show a film in scope format without an anamorphic lens attached you will not have many pixels left. The newer 2k systems are clearly better. You can find out where you can see 2k by visiting dcinematoday.com 1.2k ,1280x1024 2k , 2048x1080 TI has also increased fill factor on dmds but I am not sure if that process is applied to dcinema chips just yet. Also two significant future developments will be 1 SmoothPicture, hello 4k(I hope) and good bye pixel structure 2 changing light output with APL to better use available cr  |  IP: Logged
