I checked out the tape which is a dub and it appears that the embedded digital audio was not recorded on the HD CAM tape. Second is our HDCAM decks are playback only so even though I have 2 decks I have no way to dub it. Next time I see one of the new york dolby guys I am going to try to get a new copy of this tape from them. I made my own and I might be interested in revising it -- especially the audio part. If someone has the ability to take a PNG file and write it to tape in a pixel-for-pixel manner, let me know. I can provide the file (which would be a modified version of my DCP test chart). Ideally, of course, we would want a set of test tapes at different frame rates, and also some sound test material (including Dolby E) and some sample live-action material (like the 16mm SMPTE Jiffy Test film) as well.  |  IP: Logged Manny Knowles "What are these things and WHY are they BLUE???"
