Then it most deffinately should have been shown using both projectors. In truth the only thing gained is a little bit of brightness, but when paying for digital IMAX, one should get digital IMAX...... demand a refund.

Here is the explanation I received from AMC Easton:

The system was working upon installation, but, when started up on Friday, the first full day of STAR TREK, one of the system boards failed on the second projector. Imax Corporate told them to go ahead and run with only one. It is now working properly.

Well, shit like that happens...that being the case though, they should have advised you BEFORE you bought the ticket that it wasn't going to be up to scratch and given it to you at a discounted price until it was up and running properly again.

Absolutely. No shame in showing the film in regular 2K and CHARGING for regular 2K. Or show it in "Imax" and charge for Imax. But you can figure out what combination sounds like fraud when pressed upon an unsuspecting customer ...

I again went to Easton Imax today to check out the 2-projector system.

Having now seen both 1-projector and 2-projector digital IMAX, I have concluded that they look exactly the same!. I didn't note any extra sharpness or brightness...they looked the same.

I did catch some pixelization occasionally on diagonal lines, but this was very slight.
